Coptic Calendar

The wake prayers of Timothy Boulos will take place in the Church from 7pm to 9pm (11/18/08).

Mary Rose Gobrial (The Bride of Heaven)'s family invites everyone to share in celebrating Mary's second memorial. This celebration will be held on Saturday November 22, 2008 during the Holy Liturgy (from 8:00 to 10:30 AM). Also, the family invites everyone to share an Aghapy meal in the parish hall following the Holy Liturgy.

The Coptic Church was established in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by St. Mark the Evangelist in the city of Alexandria around 43 A.D. The church adheres to the Nicene Creed. St. Athanasius (296-373 A.D.), the twentieth Pope of the Coptic Church effectively defended the Doctrine of the Lord Jesus Christ's Divinity at the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. His affirmation of the doctrine earned him the title; "Father of Orthodoxy" and St. Athanasius "the Apostolic". more
